Onshore facilities for multi–billion dollar lNG project

Opus is providing engineering services to Leighton contractors for the development of the onshore operations complex, for the multi-billion dollar Icthys Project Onshore LNG facilities.

Opus' commission includes engineering design and construction certification of structural, civil, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical and fire disciplines for the project. The site area is approximately 150 Ha and will include approximately 30,000 m2 of building area consisting of the central control building, workshop, warehouse, laboratory, operations building, gatehouse, fire/ambulance buildings, chemical store building and approximately 70,000 m2 of roads, parking and hard standing across the site.

The Ichthys LNG Project is a joint venture between INPEX group companies (the operator), major partner TOTAL group companies and the Australian subsidiaries of Tokyo Gas, Osaka Gas, Chubu Electric Power and Toho Gas.
